These charming miniature goats are known for their long, flowing, silky coats, friendly personalities, and small size, which makes them great for 4-H, pet, and hobby farms. The “fainting” part comes from a genetic condition called myotonia congenita. When startled or excited, their muscles temporarily stiffen — causing them to stiffen their legs and sometimes fall over for a few seconds. They don’t actually lose consciousness (they stay fully awake and aware), and it’s completely harmless to them. Many people find it one of the quirkiest and most entertaining goat behaviors!
