REQUEST MEDIA access

including credentials, Live Remotes & Promotional Booth Space

Media access for the 2025 San Diego County Fair is granted and issued by the Marketing & Media office at the 22nd District Agricultural Association (22nd DAA). Please read the full policy below before submitting a request.

To coordinate access for working media, the 22nd DAA Marketing & Media office requires that all members of the media submit the below online Media Credential Request Form at least 24 hours in advance of their planned arrival.

Who qualifies for media credentials?

Access — including parking — is given to “working media” covering the San Diego County Fair for news and entertainment purposes; specifically, journalists, reporters, editors, videographers and photographers who are working on assignment for a publication, broadcast station, or other media outlet.

  • Broadcast media: Television/Radio — on-air anchors, reporters, deejays, and videographers/photographers.
  • Print/online media: Newspaper/Magazine — reporters, photographers and editors.
  • Freelance media: Press credentials are provided to freelance writers and journalists with valid press photo identification and written confirmation from a news organization (on letterhead or from the news organization’s email address) from a news director, editor, or similar authority.
  • Content creators: Social media influencers, bloggers/vloggers — Due to the large volume of requests received, credentials requests from bloggers and social media influencers will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Proof of reach/following must be provided, and accounts will be evaluated based on the nature of the content and the demographic coverage.

CONCERTS: During the San Diego County Fair, the Toyota Summer Concert Series, Chevrolet Paddock Concert Series and The Sound artists approve media coverage based on their own criteria established by each artist/artist management. These requests do NOT go through the Marketing & Media office.

PLEASE NOTE: Individuals working within a news media outlet in the advertising, marketing, sales, and administrative staff are NOT considered working media and will not be granted access.

Submission of this form for a media credential does NOT guarantee press/media access. The Marketing & Media office will review your request and contact you to confirm details.

Press credentials for the San Diego County Fair only grant general access; special access to other areas must be requested. If your visit is approved, we request you follow up with a link to your story/coverage.

The Marketing & Media office will determine if media members will need to be escorted by staff while at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
