Share your American story through quilting in our American Heritage Quilt Block One-Day Contest!
Participants create their quilt block at home in advance and bring it to the Fair on the day of the contest for judging. Each entry should be a single unfinished quilt block, 10.5 inches square, inspired by heritage, culture, family history, or home.
The contest features two divisions:
- Echoes of Heritage
- America’s 250th Birthday
Youth and adult classes are available.
- Youth age 5-11
- Youth age 12-17
- Adults age 18+
COST: FREE • No cost to participate.
ADMISSION: Registered participants receive FREE Fair admission on the day of the contest, available at Will Call with proof of registration and entry.
REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is required. Download entry guide and register online by the registration deadline. There will be NO on-site registration.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilt block entries become the property of the San Diego County Fair and will not be returned.
