Ever since county fairs began, a blue ribbon for the best cake or the prettiest quilt was a shining achievement. Home Arts & Hobbies is the competitive exhibit where cooks, crafters and collectors can shine!

Home Arts & Hobbies celebrates home arts, and includes hand-crafted quilts, collections, table settings, miniatures & models, decorative arts & crafts, needle art, sewing, weaving & felting, preserved foods, and baked goods.

The variety of competitions offered are numerous, so we've broken them down as follows:

On the Spot Contests

Step right up and let the magic begin! Our On the Spot Contests require no pre-registration and no preparation, just your sense of fun and a dash of fairytale spirit. Simply wander into Home Arts & Hobbies in the Exhibit Hall on the day of the competition, add your name to the list, and jump right into the action. Sign up, create, and compete, all in the same day! Who knows? Your once-upon-a-time moment at the Fair might end with a ribbon.
