Think you’ve seen it all? Think again! The Master Showmanship Competition at the San Diego County Fair is where the best of the best go head-to-head in a high-stakes, multi-species battle of brains, skill, and composure.
These elite youth exhibitors have already proven themselves top handlers in their own species—rabbits, cavies, poultry, and more—and now they must compete across all of them to earn the coveted title of Master Showman.
What Makes It Master-Level?
Competitors must expertly show multiple types of animals, even those outside their specialty.
Species Spotlight:

Rabbits: Calm demeanor, breed ID, full-body exam.

Cavies: Proper handling, condition checks, knowledge of breed standards.

Poultry: Handling plush birds, identifying breeds, recognizing diseases, and answering judge's questions with confidence. (Poultry is not included in this year's fair due to the potential for Bird Flu)
