Do your prints truly match what you see on your monitor? Do you feel in control of your printing workflow—or are you just hoping for the best? Creating beautiful, gallery- or exhibition-quality inkjet prints isn’t easy, and it’s certainly not intuitive. If it were, everyone would be doing it—and doing it well.
This full-day, two-part workshop is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to take full control of your printing process. You'll learn the six critical steps to consistently producing exceptional inkjet prints.
Part 1: Presentation & Q&A (2 hours)
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the essential building blocks for a successful print workflow:
-
Choosing the right monitor for editing images intended for print
-
Monitor calibration—what it is, how to do it, and why it matters
-
Selecting paper that complements your artistic vision
-
Choosing the right printer for your needs
-
Understanding and applying custom printer/paper profiles
-
Evaluating prints under proper lighting conditions
Part 2: Hands-On Printing Demo (4 hours)
Watch expert Eric walk through best practices using both the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 and Epson SureColor P900 archival inkjet printers. You’ll learn how to achieve predictable, consistent, controllable, and repeatable results in your own printmaking process.
