Location(s):

Are you making the best prints possible on your Canon or Epson inkjet printer? Do your prints look like what is being displayed on your monitor? Do you really feel like you have control over your printing workflow? Making beautiful, gallery/exhibition quality inkjet prints isn’t easy or intuitive. If it was, everyone would be doing it and doing it well. This two-part full day class provides a comprehensive overview of the six steps you need to consider when setting yourself up for success for making perfect inkjet prints.

Part 1: Presentation & Q&A (2 hours)

Topics include: choosing the right monitor for editing still images for printing, calibrating your monitor and why it is important, choosing paper that matches your unique artistic signature, selecting the right printer, using custom printer/paper profiles, the quality of lighting conditions when viewing and evaluating your photographs.

Part 2: Printing Demo to print images for limited participants (4 hours)

Using both a Canon imagePrograf Pro-1000 and Epson Surecolor P900 archival inkjet printers, Eric will perform a printing demonstration instructing participants in best practices and how to achieve predictable, reliable, consistent, controllable and repeatable results.

If you are selected, bring a USB thumb drive with six images or less on it. We won’t have time to sort through image files. Images can be color or black & white.
