Leah Horstman is an award-winning photographer renowned for her evocative nature and wildlife imagery. Born and raised in California, Leah’s passion for photography was sparked early by her father, a dedicated travel photographer. This early exposure led her to spend countless hours in darkrooms, honing her skills in composition and light.
In 2016, her photograph “Xmas on the Merced” won the Nature Conservancy’s Photo of the Year. Leah’s work has been recognized by National Geographic and featured esteemed venues like the San Diego Natural History Museum. Her image “Ice Climber” earned Best of Show at the San Diego International Photography Exhibition, and “Cowboys at Sunset” received the same honor at the Oklahoma State Fair. Currently based in Oklahoma, Leah continues to explore and capture the natural world around her. She is a proud ambassador for Cokin Filters and a member of ASMP.
