In 1997, the County of San Diego partnered with local, state and federal agencies to develop the Multiple Species Conservation Program (MSCP) – a long-term, regional habitat conservation effort that balances the protection of the environment with recreation, development and agricultural activities.

San Diego County Parks & Recreation staff will discuss the plants and animals that are part of this program, share protected species highlights, and list parks and preserves where you can see them for yourself!
