Media Credentials Policy

The Media Credential Policy is necessary to facilitate Media as follows:
• Accommodate working Media quickly and efficiently.
• Enable the Media to enter the Fairgrounds without delay.
• Protect against those who may misrepresent themselves as journalists.
• Quickly identify reporters cleared for access and Media privileges.

Media Season Passes: Season Passes and Parking Passes are mailed to each broadcast News Director and each print Media Editor. These passes are for distribution to reporters, camera crews, photographers, writers, etc. and will allow for easy access onto the Fairgrounds. Please coordinate with your News Director or Editor.

Parking Passes: Obtain your parking pass from your News Director or Editor. Media will not be guaranteed parking in the Preferred Lot but they will be guaranteed free parking. If you cannot acquire a parking pass, contact the Media Office no later than noon 24 hours before you are arriving and your name will be on the Preferred Parking list for that day for working Media only.

How to Request Media One-Day Pass Credentials: Email all credential requests to the Media Office (email addresses are farther down this page) and include: name, Media organization and title. All requests must be received 24 hours in advance. Passes must be picked up at the Will Call window located at the O'Brien Gate (front entrance). You will be asked for photo identification.

Freelance Reporters and Photographers: Freelance reporters and photographers will not be issued Media credentials unless they submit proof of employment with a news organization. You must contact the Media Office when you arrive on the grounds. Please do not use tripods.

Bloggers/Online Reporters: Bloggers and other online reporters will not be issued a press pass unless they can provide documentation of substantial web traffic/viewership (Google Analytics Reports or other web traffic reporting tool), and their blog/online news source must be at least one year old. Each request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
