The application period for selling at the 2016 San Diego County Fair ended March 23, 2016. Applicants will hear from the Concessions Office by April 8.

2016 Fair Dates
- Friday, June 3 through Monday, July 4.
The Fair is closed every Monday except Monday, July 4; and the first two Tuesdays. Closed dates are June 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 27.
2016 Fair Theme:
- "Mad About the Fair" – We'll fuse the magic of Lewis Carroll's beloved book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, with the artistic movement known as Steampunk.

You are required to have your booth or stand open and staffed during Fair operating hours.
The Fun Zone and grounds close nightly at approximately midnight.
Basic criteria regarding the application process for the San Diego County Fair include:
Product balance within the Fair
Uniqueness and appeal of the product
Ability to set up a professional, attractive display
While selections are not made on a first-come, first-serve basis, we do advise you get your completed application in as soon as possible. The review process is ongoing, and when we find a qualified applicant who meets the above criteria we will look to book that applicant as space allows. The application is for selection consideration only, and is neither a commitment by the applicant or an offer by the 22nd DAA to rent space.
It is imperative that your application is filled out completely, with all requested supporting documents and your $25. processing fee is received prior to the deadline. Incomplete or late applications may not be considered. Photos of your products, menu items, and your booth or food stand in operational form must be included (see application for further information).
If you have submitted an application for 2016, please do not contact the office regarding your status. The application review process is a lengthy one; calls of this nature only prolong the process. We will contact you as soon as possible if we are able to offer you a space. Applicants will hear from our office no later than April 8, 2016 regarding the status of an application.
Space Rental Rates
Commercial space rates go up to $3,770, based on 10 ft. x 10 ft. space increments for the entire run of the fair. Download the rate sheet above for more details. Management determines locations, although you may state a preference for indoor or outdoor on your application.
Food Concessions rates are $1,500, minimum guarantee, or 25% of gross sales, whichever is greater.

Signs and Banners
Signs and banners for The San Diego County Fair are produced by the on-site Sign Shop. The staff specializes in the production of quality vinyl and digital signs. We can produce:

RV Parking, Hotels and Other Housing Information
If you receive booth space at the Fair, you will receive information about RV parking and hotels with your contract. You may want to take a look at the Vacation Planner on the Del Mar Fairgrounds corporate website for a list of hotels, camping facilities and attractions in the area.
