Del Mar Arena & Arena Complex
The Del Mar Arena is a 100,290-square-foot building that was enclosed by a new roof in April 2009. The Arena can host a wide variety of events, including sports events such as horse shows and soccer matches, as well as concerts and trade shows.
It has grandstand seating on its east and west sides, and elevated concrete stage platforms at its north and south ends. A glass-fronted skybox dining room sits above the East Grandstand. Adjacent to the covered arena are two smaller open arenas.
The Arena is home to the three-week Del Mar National Horse Show in April, and will be the home of the San Diego Sockers, beginning with the team's 2009-10 season. The Arena has no interior pillars, which means there are no blocked views from any of the seats.
