Wednesday, July 2 — Grand Champion Judging

After the judges award blue ribbons to the best of the 4-H and FFA animals, they then bestow two of the most coveted awards of the Fair, Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion. These are the 2014 winners:

Saturday, July 5 — Junior Livestock Auction

Bidding begins at 10:00AM

The Fair's Junior Livestock Auction is one of the annual highlights of the Fair. It is the culmination of Market Week, during which exhibitors who are members of 4-H and FFA independently show their market animal project, hoping to win a coveted blue ribbon and participate in the auction. It takes place in Ring 2 between the Chevrolet Livestock Barn and Barn W in the Durante Area (see 52 in the Orange Zone on the Fair Map).

In each animal species (swine, goats, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, market calves, lamb, and beef) a Grand Champion and a Reserve Grand Champion are chosen — the best of the best. Only Blue Ribbon animals are eligible for auction. Please take a look at How The Livestock Auction Works.
