2013 Opening Ceremonies
Flag Raising and National Anthem
Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts raise the flags at the daily opening ceremonies at the Fair, and we also need singers and instrumentalists to perform the National Anthem.
FLAG RAISING
Every year we open up this opportunity to all the scout troops in San Diego County who have patch earning capabilities. We invite you to come out to the Fair in the morning and join us in the Flag Raising Ceremony before the gates open. We raise both the American Flag and the California Flag each day. Be advised that there may be multiple groups at the front gate to assist in the Flag Raising but all the groups will be a part of the ceremony. When we are finished you may go back though the front gate and enjoy your day at the Fair.
We provide you with credentials, which entitle your group to free entrance to the Fair on your day of Flag Raising, as well as parking passes for that same day.

NATIONAL ANTHEM
 Every day we give singers and instrumentalists the opportunity to perform the National Anthem as we raise the flags at our Opening Ceremonies. There is no fee to apply, and those that are chosen will receive free admission and parking for the performer and a guest.
If you are interested in performing the National Anthem, please have an mp3 or youtube link ready of a previous National Anthem performance. Please note: the application cannot be saved and returned to at a later date.
