Family Funville

Family Funville, located in the racetrack infield, has lots of fun things that kids will enjoy, such as Kids Zone rides and games, the Creative Youth exhibit, animal shows, magic shows and magic lessons, and much more.

Kids and Bugs

Kids love bugs, so on Kids' Day, we'll have lots of ways that kids can interact with insects (June 21 and 28 unless otherwise noted).

smbullet Bug Bar Tasting: New for 2016 is our California Grown Exhibit, which shows what agriculture was like in the past, what it's like today, and how it might be in the future. One way we might get our protein is by eating bugs. Sounds a bit yucky, but kids (and adults) brave enough to try one will earn a button that says they ate a bug at the Fair. 11:00AM-12:30PM, 2:00-2:30PM and 5:00-5:30PM in the California Grown Exhibit.

smbullet Butterfly Free Flight House: See the beauty of butterflies as they flitter around you. If you're lucky, one might even land on you! All day until 5:00PM at The Farm in Family Funville

smbullet Bugs Good and Bad Presentation: Which bugs help us, and which ones don't? Learn the difference at this presentation! 1:30PM in the California Grown Exhibit.

smbullet Bugs In Your Garden: Gardeners of all ages will appreciate this discussion of bugs and how they affect your plants. 2:30PM (June 21 only) at the Paul Ecke Jr. Flower and Garden Show Stage.

smbullet Ladybug Talk/Release: Who doesn't love a ladybug? Learn more about them, and then enjoy the mass release of these little helpers. 3:00PM at The Farm in Family Funville and 4:00PM in the Children's Garden in the Paul Ecke Jr. Garden Show.
