San Diego International Beer Festival
The sixth annual San Diego International Beer Festival will take place June 22-24.

In just six short years, the San Diego International Beer Festival has become one of the largest in the country, with nearly 140 breweries and more than 300 beers from around the world.

Dates, Times, Ticket Information
Date: Friday-Sunday, June 22-24, 2012
Times: Friday (two sessions), Noon-4:00PM or 5:00-9:00PM
Saturday (two sessions), 11:00AM-3:00PM or 4:00-8:00PM
Sunday, 1:00-5:00PM (special emphasis on San Diego beers)
Location: Chevrolet Del Mar Arena
Prices: $48.00 per session, which includes Fair admission.
$35.00 per session, without Fair admission (for those who have Fair season passes, for instance).
These prices include a souvenir tasting cup and a wristband that entitles the wearer to unlimited one-ounce samplings of beer entered in the festival competition. You must be 21 or older to purchase wristband vouchers.
Where to buy tickets: Ticketmaster or the
Fairgrounds Box Office, located on the north side of the Main Parking Lot. Hours are 10:00AM to 6:00PM Tuesday through Saturday.

Get your photo taken all three days of the festival at the free photo booth sponsored by Heineken.
Have a VIP Experience in the Brewers Lounge
This VIP experience includes a special lounge area overlooking the beer festival, 6-oz. souvenir glass to use in the lounge area and beer festival floor, five craft beer stations with food pairings, with unlimited grazing for the first two hours of each session, half-hour early admission before the general public and admission to the Fair.

Parking and transportation tips
On Saturday and Sunday, June 23-24, the Fair will operate three FREE off-site parking lots with FREE shuttle service to the O'Brien Gate. Parking on the grounds is $10.00. For information about these free lots, see our Parking page.
Or, take the COASTER every day of the Beer Festival to the Fair, and save money with our Weekend Fair Tripper combo ticket! For just $15.00, you get a round-trip fare on the COASTER train, a shuttle from the train station to the West Gate, and adult Fair admission. You'll save up to $9.00, plus you won't have to pay parking fees! For more information on this option, see the Public Transportation page. (Note: If you decide to use the Weekend Fair Tripper, buy your beer festival admission at the Fair for $35.00, so you don't pay twice for Fair admission.)
2011 Festival Results
Congratulations! The 2011 Best of Show was Poor Man's Ipa beer made by Pizza Port of Carlsbad, California.
Previous Festival Results
The 2010 Best of Show was Big Wednesday beer made by Pizza Port of Solana Beach, California. More than 350 beers from more than 150 breweries from around the world were entered.
The 2009 Best of Show was Good Grief Brown Ale made by Pizza Port of Carlsbad, California. More than 300 beers from 17 countries and 20 states participated.
The 2008 Best Of Show beer was West Coast IPA (India Pale Ale) made by Green Flash Brewery of Vista, California. A total of 104 local, regional, national and international breweries participated.
In the inaugural event, the 2007 Best of Show was Shipyard Export Ale in the English Pale Ale class, from Shipyard Brewing Co. of Portland, Maine.
