Solid Gold Series

The Solid Gold Series is over for 2014. These were the artists who brought back those great memories of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s during the Fab Fair.

Gary Puckett
and the Union Gap

Gary Puckett and the Union Gap was one of the most successful musical groups of the '60s. Gary's powerful and unmistakable signature voice garnered six consecutive Gold Records and Top 10 Billboard hits! The group's signature hits include "Young Girl," "Woman Woman," "Lady Willpower," "This Girl Is A Woman Now," "Don't Give In To Him," "Keep The Customer Satisfied," "Home" and "Over You."

PLEASE NOTE: The original date of this concert was July 3.

Johnny Rivers

Johnny Rivers' career has produced 17 Gold Records, two GRAMMY awards, more than 30 million in record sales and 29 chart hits, just a few of which are "Secret Agent Man," (featured in the films "Austin Powers" and "Bowfinger"), "Poor Side of Town," "Memphis" and "Baby, I Need Your Lovin'." Rivers continues to perform before sellout crowds worldwide; his hits have been included in recent film soundtracks, such as 2007's "Lucky You;" and he has made significant contributions to the history of rock 'n' roll.

The Spinners

Sophisticated up-tempo R&B with precision choreography defines a Spinners show. With more than 60 million records sold in their illustrious career, the mighty Spinners have performed for Presidents, received 6 GRAMMY nominations, and have appeared on TV too many times to count. Among their unbelievable 18 Solid Gold Top 40 Hits and eight Top 10s are "Then Came You," "Working My Way Back To You/Forgive Me, Girl," "Cupid (I've Loved You For So Long," "The Rubberband Man," "I'll Be Around," "Could It Be I'm Falling In Love," "One of a Kind (Love Affair)" and many more.

James Darren

James Darren has enjoyed a successful, multi-faceted career, spanning six decades of motion picture, television, recording and live concert performances. With a notable career in films ("Gidget," "The Guns of Navarone") as well as television ("The Time Tunnel," "T.J. Hooker," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"), Darren has re-emerged on the recording scene with his latest CD, Because of You (Concord Records), an impressive collection of standards and big-band swing. The album, a follow-up to his acclaimed 1999 release, This One's From the Heart, reaffirms Darren's incomparable talents as a singer.
