The Tubes
With Fee Waybill
THURSDAY, JULY 3

The Tubes came onto the music scene in the 1960s and early 1970s with outrageous live shows that satirized American culture, turning them into a must-see live band. Their debut album, The Tubes (1975), was critically acclaimed and included the classic tracks "White Punks On Dope" and "What Do You Want From Life." The group released several more albums into the '80s, including Completion Backwards Principle, which became the Tubes' first Top 40 chart entry. The original Tubes line-up disbanded in the mid-1980s, but reunited in the early 1990s after Capital Records released The Best of The Tubes. The reunited band consisted lead vocalist Fee Waybill, guitarist Roger Steen, bassist Rick Anderson, drummer Prairie Prince and a new keyboardist, Gary Cambra. They have kept touring and recording, continuing their uncanny ability to highlight the absurdity of everyday American life. The Tubes have always managed to expose, enlighten and entertain audiences worldwide by combining art with trash, comedy with tragedy, and innovative rock theatre with consummate musicianship.
