The thrills of Professional Bull Riding return to the Del Mar Fairgrounds for the sixth year, for the Del Mar Invitational, a Touring Pro Division event.
The PBR’s Touring Pro Division is the new 2010 minor-league tour of PBR, replacing the Challenger, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and Discovery Tours. As with the previous minor-league tours, it offers up-and-coming bull riders and riders not competing on the elite Built Ford Tough Series the opportunity to compete in PBR-sanctioned events while earning money to qualify them for the BFTS and the PBR Built Ford Tough Finals.
This event features the world’s toughest bull riders and the industry’s most notoriously mean and nasty bulls, to create non-stop, edge-of-your-seat action.
Returning this year will be Bull Poker and Cowboy Teeter-Totter. In Bull Poker, four cowboys sit at a poker table in the middle of the arena with a bull on the loose. In Teeter Totter (pictured), the cowboys bob up and down on the teeter-totter, trying to stay out of the bull's way. Who will be brave enough and remain seated long enough to win the Bull Poker game? Can the four cowboys on the teeter-totter jump fast enough to stay out of harm's way?
The evening also will include a performance by the Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls, a world-renowned trick riding and trick roping school for young adults.
