We invite you to participate in the San Diego County Fair! Whether you would like to enter an exhibit, apply for a scholarship, or participate in a school program, there are many ways to be a part of the Fair!
Showcase a classroom project and have it displayed at the Fair. Individuals, groups, and classrooms are encouraged to enter. Entry categories include: art, graphic design, photography, general technology, community service projects, crafts, missions, writing, educational projects, and much more.

Provides college scholarships to outstanding San Diego County high school seniors who have participated in the San Diego County Fair or other Del Mar Fairgrounds events, as well to provide grants for agricultural education. Don Diego Scholarship Foundation recipients are matriculating at prestigious colleges around the country, excelling at exciting careers nationwide and making a difference in our community. School Field Trip Program
All schools are invited to take a free self-guided field trip to the Fair. Classes may also participate in an educational learning tour.
Want to incorporate agriculture into your curriculum? This free program starts in the Spring with Fair staff delivering materials to your classroom for students to grow their own plants (seeds, soil, pots). In June, students will take a field trip to the Fair and bring their plant, learn more about agriculture and receive ribbons for their hard work! Open to all schools in session when the Fair is open.
The San Diego County Fair has many one-day contests. Some are for cooks, some are for crafters and some are for people who just like to have fun. There are one-day contests for kids, teens, adults, and all ages. For more information, check out this one-day contests here.
Fairgoers 12-years and younger are admitted free every Tuesday. Kids' Days feature entertainment and contests that are loads of fun for our youngest guests. Nearer Fairtime, look for updated information on the Kids' Day webpage.
