Hatter & Harry HareStu and Kazoo

Kazoo and Stu, those wacky theme characters are back – or almost.

This year's dynamic duo will be "Topper Hatter" and "Harry the Hare". They have been traveling in a Steampunk Time Machine, looking for Alice, only to realize that one of them was left behind inside the Rabbit Hole!

Not to worry, though. We're sure someone or something will rescue our friend. So come and find out who's here and who's not, for it's a Mad Adventure here at the Fair. Who knows? Maybe YOU will be the one to locate our missing entertainer.

NEW! San Diego County Fair Theatre Troupe

A band of traveling entertainers will dazzle and enchant you with songs, characters, and mystery! They are 20 student actors from San Diego State University and Grossmont College (many the students of our very own Topper Hatter), who roam the Fair as the Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, and a variety of Steampunk folks. The characters perform with the Red Queen in a croquet game, emcee our daily Queen’s Court Costume Contest, and have two shows daily in the "Mad About the Fair" Theme Exhibit. Enjoy this video of the students on the day they put their costumes together, under the direction of Esther Skandunas, a professional costume designer who worked for a decade at Grossmont College.
