The highlight of Western Week is "Night of the Horse," presented by Mary's Tack & Feed, "Making the Team: Horses in Sports," an exciting show of equine and human performers, which will take place Saturday, April 19, at 7:00PM.
The featured event of "Night of the Horse" is the $10,000 High Jump. Will Simpson aboard Jolly Good set the North American Indoor High Jump record at 7' 9 1/4" in 1984. The record still remains unbroken. Will someone be able to break it tonight?

Western Week Schedule
"Night of the Horse" will feature many other equestrian
acts, and is a great evening of entertainment for horse lovers of all
ages. Among the others that will be part of the evening's entertainment are:
Blake Goode performing Roman Riding on Brahma Bulls and horses — What would possess someone to put one foot on the back of a 2,600-lb. Brahma bull, put the other foot on the back of another Brahma bull and ride around the arena? Blake Goode, from Ravenna, Texas, says he's still trying to figure it out! Goode has been Roman Riding the Brahma bulls and horses for almost 11 years and has been nominated for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PCRA) Entertainer of the Year.
Carole Mercer and her Dancing Morgans — Carol Mercer and her Dancing Morgans have been a team for ten years. These Registered Morgan Mares work for a living on Carole's ranch in Oregon, where they gather and sort cattle, pull the hay wagon and participate in wedding ceremonies.
Icelandic Horses — A crowd favorite, these small and sturdy horses are versatile, reliable mounts. Sunland Ranch and Southern California Icelandic Riders will present Icelandic horses in many disciplines. Five-gaited Icelandic horses are exceptional trail horses. They are also used to pull carts, they can be jumped, ridden dressage or shown in gaited horse shows. The Icelandic's calm temperament makes them a reliable mount for almost anyone.
Rainbow Riders — Captain Dottie Pierce and the award-winning Rainbow Riders have been performing their fast-paced precision maneuvers at many California rodeos, equestrian events and fundraisers since 1986.
From Ramona, California, the Rainbow Riders are made up of women of all ages who come from all walks of life. The Team performs intricate and exciting maneuvers, filling the arena with fast horses and a swirl of rainbow colors.
Often referred to as the "Blue Angels on horseback," their hard work and camaraderie helps make the Rainbow Riders an exciting drill team that leaves you on the edge of your seat.
Heroic fire fighters — We will also be honoring local fire fighters for their heroic efforts during last October's fire storm.
