Frequently Asked Questions About Performing
at the San Diego County Fair

Can I still apply even though the deadline has passed?
The Fair is no longer accepting applications to perform.

When will I know if my application has been accepted?
Once a group is booked for the Fair, a confirmation letter is sent outlining the date, time and location of the booking. Once you receive this confirmation letter, sign it, create a list of your performers' names (form and form example above), and mail these back to us according to the date outlined in the confirmation letter.

When will I receive my credentials?
You can receive your credentials in one of two ways:

  1. You, or your representative, can pick up your credential packet May 10-13, 9:00AM-6:00PM, at the Special Events trailer on the west end of the Fairgrounds, accessed through the Solana gate off Via de la Valle. Credentials will be released only if you have an assigned performance date and time, and you have submitted your signed confirmation letter and list of performers to Special Events.

  2. You can send a cashier's check or money order in the amount of $15.00, payable to "22nd DAA", along with your confirmation letter. Your credential packet will be mailed out Certified/Return Receipt to you by May 13.
If you are booked after the deadline above, we will inform you of the new date to receive your credentials. For any questions, or further information, please call the Special Events Department, 858-792-4259, or email entertainment@sdfair.com.
