2010 Dates

The dates for the 2010 San Diego County Fair are Friday, June 11, through Monday, July 5. The Fair will be closed three Mondays, June 14, 21 and 28.

2010 Admission

Cash and credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express) are accepted for admission, ride and concert tickets. Some food and vendor booths also accept credit cards. Several ATM machines are placed throughout the Fair.

If you would like to leave the Fair and return the same day, get your hand stamped as you leave. If you leave a paid parking lot, you will need to pay again when you return.

Parking and Public Transportation

$10.00 per vehicle ($15.00 for RVs) in the Fair's paid parking lots. Free parking and shuttle service is available every day at Horsepark, 2.5 miles east of the Fairgrounds at the intersection of Via de la Valle and El Camino Real. On weekends, Friday, July 2 and Monday, July 5, free parking and shuttle service is available at MiraCosta College's San Elijo campus and Torrey Pines High School. NEW THIS YEAR: July 4 COASTER service, including a late-night train both north and south following the Fair's fireworks display. Please see the Public Transportation page for information on taking trains and buses to the Fair.

Special Events and Special Days

Tuesdays: Kids' Day (kids 12 and younger admitted free) and Taste of the Fair Tuesday (taster portions for $2.00 at most food booths)
Wednesdays: Pepsi Pay-One-Price Ride Day
Thursdays: Pepsi Pay-One-Price Ride Day, Seniors' Day and My Prize Pak gift at the gate
Fridays: PennySaver Value Day (coupon book with Fair savings)
Saturdays: various festivals
Sundays: Día de la Familia (Mexican-themed entertainment and activities).

Admission gates open: 11:00AM, weekdays;
10:00AM Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, July 5
Admission gates close: 11:00PM Friday and Saturday; 10:00PM other nights
Grounds close: Approximately midnight Friday and Saturday; approximately 11:00PM other nights.

Exhibit and Shopping Buildings
All buildings and exhibits open: 11:00AM, weekdays
10:00AM Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, July 5

Closing times:
Shopping buildings, Flower and Garden Show, Design in Wood, Gems and Minerals, Home and Hobby, Student Showcase, Art and Photo: Close 11:00PM Friday and Saturday; 10:00PM other nights. Open until midnight on July 4.
AgriFair and Livestock exhibits: Close 10:00PM every night.
Creative Youth exhibit: Closes 9:00PM every night.
World of Horses and The Farm exhibits: Closes at dusk every night (between 7:30 and 8:00PM). World of Horses closes at the end of the day July 3.

The Fun Zone and Kiddieland
Opens 11:00AM Saturdays and Sundays; noon other days
Kiddieland closes: Approximately 11:00PM Friday and Saturday; approximately 10:00PM other nights. Fun Zone closes: Approximately midnight Friday and Saturday; approximately 11:00PM other nights.
