The Burn Institute’s 20th Annual Viejas FIRE EXPO and Firefighter Demo Derby — Southern California's largest firefighting event — is designed to increase awareness of modern emergency services, including:
"live" firefighting demonstrations (throughout the day), such as firefighters rappelling from the arena rafters and putting out a car fire
Burn Run Parade of fire trucks and apparatus (1:00PM)
Firefighter Demolition Derby (4:00PM)
A fire and burn prevention education pavilion
Interactive activities for kids
Booth, live music and much more
The day also will include the exciting Firefighter Demo Derby. San Diego County firefighters will display their creatively customized clunkers and “smash for cash” for the Burn Institute.
Proceeds from this event fund Burn Institute fire and burn prevention programs and services, including Camp Beyond The Scars for burn-injured children (5-17).
