San Diego International Beer Festival
Mark your calendars for the fourth annual San Diego International Beer Festival, which will happen during the 2010 San Diego County Fair on June 25-27. That's right — we're adding a third day! Check back in the spring of 2010 for details.
Congratulations to Jeff Bagby, Pizza Port - Carlsbad, for winning the 2009 Best of Show for his Good Grief Brown Ale during the third annual festival.
In just three short years, the San Diego International Beer Festival has become one of the largest in the country, with more than 300 beers from 17 countries and 20 states. Countries represented in 2009 were: Denmark, USA, Japan, Scotland, Belgium, Austria, Netherlands, Brazil, Australia, Canada, Germany, England, Norway, France, Sweden, Finland and the Philippines. States were: Louisiana, California, Alaska, Maine, Montana, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon, Delaware, Idaho, Vermont, Michigan, Hawaii, Nebraska, Tennessee, Colorado, New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.

Previous Festival Results
The 2008 Best Of Show beer was West Coast IPA (India Pale Ale) made by Green Flash Brewery of Vista, California. The Best of Show award was announced June 21, 2008 at the Chevrolet Del Mar Arena, in front of thousands of visitors and a total of 104 local, regional, national and international breweries that participated.
Results of the 2nd Annual Craft Brewers Competition
In the inaugural event, the 2007 Best of Show was Shipyard Export Ale in the English Pale Ale class, from Shipyard Brewing Co. of Portland, Maine.
