The San Diego County Fair features many entertaining events and special days, most happening just one or a few days only. Be sure to mark your calendar, so you don't miss any of them!

Special Events

• Car Shows, local car clubs bring some very cool cars for you to see, every day outside of Surfside Race Place.
• Culinary Arts Series, the third year for this popular daily series featuring top chefs and their creations.
• Enviro Fair, Saturday, June 19, with many "green" activities and vendors, so you can learn more about how to reduce, reuse and recycle! It's also Save Our Water Day, where the first 1,000 people through the O'Brien Gate on June 19 will receive a water conservation gift bag.
• Motorcycle Ride to the Fair, Saturday, June 19
• Father's Day Pancake Breakfast, Sunday, June 20
• San Diego International Beer Festival and Battle of the Bank women's roller derby tournament, June 25-27.
• 6th Annual Gospel Festival, Saturday, June 26, featuring nationally known gospel entertainers Marvin Sapp and J Moss on the Grandstand Stage and day-long, toe-tapping praise music on several other stages.
• GREASE Sing-A-Long Movie Event, Saturday, June 26. Sing along to the newly restored 1978 movie, "Grease"
• Cattle Drive and Cowboy Breakfast, Monday, June 28 (Please note: This is a special event on a day when the Fair is closed.)
• SummerFist 2010: Mixed Martial Arts, Saturday, July 3
• Fourth of July, featuring our Hometown Heroes parade, patriotic contests, great entertainment, and of course, spectacular fireworks.
• Pro Wrestling, Monday, July 5

Special Days

• Opening Day, Friday, June 11. See what entertainment and special fun we have planned to kick off our 22-day Fair!
• $3.00 Tuesday, Tuesday, June 15. Fair admission is just $3.00, with special tickets available only at Albertsons. These tickets are sold only at Albertsons|Sav-on (starting sometime in May) and are not sold at the Fairgrounds; click for more details.
• Kids' Day, every Tuesday . Special activities for the younger set, and all kids 12 and younger get free admission!
• Seniors' Day, every Thursday with fun activities and entertainment for people with a lot of life in them!
• Día de la Familia, every Sunday and Monday, July 5, with fabulous, lively, Latin-themed entertainment and activities.
• Tuesday Taste of the Fair, every Tuesday, featuring $2.00 "tastes" of all the great Fair food.
• Pepsi Pay-One-Price Ride Days, every Wednesday and Thursday, plus special online-only "bonus days." Buy a wristband, enjoy the rides all afternoon into the evening.
• PennySaver Value Days, every Friday, featuring discount-coupon booklets packed with savings at Fair food and product booths. One per Fairgoer, at the admission gates.
• My Prize Pack, presented by 7 Eleven, June 11, Thursdays and July 5, a reusable shopping bag stuffed with coupons, samples and a chance to win a trip for four to the Calgary Stampede!
