Student Showcase

Student Showcase is a display of San Diego County junior high, middle school, high school and community college student projects. Competition is open to grades 7 through community college, and all entries must have been made in a San Diego County school under the supervision of a classroom instructor. (Students in grades 7-12 who want to enter individual projects in the Fair can do so through Kids' Best.)

Results of this competition will be kept on this Web site through November, 2009. The PDF document will open with the free Adobe Reader program, and will give you a document that you can download and print out. Results are listed in alphabetical order by the exhibitor's last name.

NEW! 2009 Cell Phone Texting Contest "Thumbs of Fury" [PDF format]
Contest date: Friday, July 3
Registration deadline: Registration can be accomplished either in advance (and you'll get free admission to the Fair) or the day of the contest (no free admission). Click the link above to download the rules and entry form. This is a two-person team contest open Fair patrons age 11 and older.

2009 Cell Phone Photo Contest [PDF format]
Contest dates: June 13-21
Registration deadline: No pre-registration required. Come to the Fair, take a photo with your cell phone and email it by 5:00PM June 21. This contest open to Fair patrons age 5 and older.

2009 Robotics Competitions [PDF format]
Contests: First Teams, Saturday, June 13; VEX and Lego, Saturday, June 20
Registration Deadline: Registration has closed.

2009 International Autonomous Robot Contest [PDF format]
Contest dates: June 27-29
Registration deadline: Registration has closed. Please see the PDF document (link is the title above) for more information on this contest, or see this Web site: www.iaroc.org.
