Kids’ Best is a display of San Diego County children's art, writing, collections, crafts and educational projects. Entries by youth aged 5 to 17 may be submitted individually, by schools or by youth organizations.

The Competition Information is available for those who attended the Fair in 2009 and are inspired to enter in 2010 (entry rules subject to change).
Contests
2009 Kids' One-Day Contests [PDF format]
Contest dates: On dates throughout the Fair, June 12-July 5
Registration deadline: No pre-registration. Bring contest form and entry to Fair.
2009 International Autonomous Robot Contest [PDF format]
Contest dates: June 27-28, 11:00AM to 5:00PM
Registration deadline: Registration has closed. This contest has 15 entries this year, including a team from Alaska and several from the San Francisco Bay Area. Team SD Squirrel (which came in second last year) and Torrey Pines (which won last year) will be back. On Saturday, June 27, the teams will be busy programming their robots and practicing with them on the obstacle course. The robots navigate via sensors. On Sunday, the obstacle course changes and the teams then compete to see whose robots can successfully navigate the course in the least amount of time.
