Contest and exhibit entry information
The San Diego County Fair is over for 2009. We had tons of fun, and we hope you did, too! We have left the information about the 2009 Fair on the Web site so that you'll have an idea of what it's all about. Much of this information will disappear at the end of 2009 when we will have the re-designed Web site featuring the 2010 Fair theme. Please check back in February or March, when we will post the entry information for the 2010 San Diego County Fair.
2009 Exhibits and Contests Results
Results are posted on individual department pages for most departments. We do not post the results for livestock, small animals and one-day contest classes; please contact the Entry Office if you need more information on those.
Entry information, One-Day Contests
The Fair has many one-day contests, many with no advance registration or entry fee. Please click on "One Day Contests" in the navigation on the left side of this page for more information.

You will receive notices when entry materials are posted, plus reminders on deadlines, delivery and pickup information when you sign up for the Fairgrounds email list. Choose the category "San Diego County Fair - Entry Info" (plus any other categories that appeal to you).

How To Enter Competitive Exhibits
Online registration: You can enter online for most of the Competitive Exhibits. For the following exhibits, you may enter online only: Student Showcase, Digital Arts, Exhibition of Photography and Photojournalism. After you have printed or viewed the department information, click the "Enter Online" link on each exhibit page to enter using a credit card on a secure Web site.
Mail-in registration: Completed forms and fees must be postmarked via the U.S. Postal Service on or before deadline day. You will not receive a return receipt. You may not enter by mail for the following departments: Student Showcase, Digital Arts, Exhibition of Photography and Photojournalism.
Hand-delivered registration: Completed forms must be delivered to the Entry Office at the Del Mar Fairgrounds on or before deadline day by 5:00PM. You may not hand-deliver for the following departments: Student Showcase, Digital Arts, Exhibition of Photography and Photojournalism.
Entries must be submitted by 5:00PM (Pacific Daylight Time) on deadline day.
Late entries will not be accepted. No faxes.
