San Diego International Beer Competition & Festival
& Homebrew Competition

Amateur adult brewmasters may enter their homemade beer, mead, cider and perry to win ribbons and prizes. Licensed microbreweries may compete in the San Diego International Beer Festival.

2010 San Diego International Beer Competition Results

Out of 350 beers entered by more than 150 breweries from around the world, Pizza Port of Solana Beach has won Best of Show for its Big Wednesday beer entered in the Specialty Beer class. This marks the second year in a row that Pizza Port has taken the top honors (last year, the Carlsbad Pizza Port was the winner).

San Diego County breweries won nine of the 29 gold medals. Other gold medals went to breweries from other parts of California (4), Oregon (2), Utah, Colorado and Washington (1 each), England (3), Germany (2), and Austria, Belgium, Australia, Scotland, Holland and France (1 each).
