Musicpalooza Music Talent Contest
We celebrated our "Music Mania" 2009 theme in a big way with a hunt for the top musical talent among bands and solo singers. One singer and one band, from hundreds who entered, walked away with the top prize of $25,000 and exposure to some top industry professionals.
Congratulations to the Erick Macek Band and Tiffany Jane, the winners of the 2009 Musicpalooza contest! Erick Macek and his band, from the Los Angeles area, and Coronado's own singer, Tiffany Jane, wowed the crowd and the judges from the Heineken Grandstand Stage on the afternoon of July 3.
The "People's Choice" winners were Endoxi in the bands division and Katherine Ramirez among the singers. For more information about the top three finishers in each division, please click the links below.

NAMM, National Association of Music Merchants, gave away 100 "Wanna Play" T-shirts to "Musicpalooza" contestants and their fan base at the prelims and semifinals. Headquartered in Carlsbad, the 9,000-member association produces the NAMM Show, one of the largest musical instrument trade shows in the world. NAMM's mission is to unify, lead and strengthen the global music products industry and to increase active participation in music making.
